China and India are gearing up for the 25th round of Special Representatives’ Talks to address the Boundary Question, as announced by Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun. During a routine press briefing on Tuesday, Guo highlighted that both nations are maintaining open lines of communication concerning border matters and are actively working to implement the agreements reached in their previous discussions.
Currently in New Delhi, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi is attending the 16th Meeting of BRICS National Security Advisors and High Representatives on National Security. During his visit, Wang held a meeting with Indian National Security Adviser Ajit Doval on Monday, underscoring the ongoing diplomatic dialogue between the two countries.
Guo emphasized that the overall situation along the China-India border remains stable, with effective communication channels still in place. Both countries are committed to executing the consensus achieved during the 24th round of boundary discussions, suggesting a continued effort to address and manage border issues collaboratively.
The forthcoming talks are anticipated to build on this momentum, aiming to further manage border-related concerns and ensure peace and stability along the shared frontier. This ongoing dialogue reflects both nations’ dedication to resolving boundary disagreements through peaceful and structured negotiations.
